What To Expect

We will start with a bus ride to the beach of “Boca de Tomaltan”.
This is a beautiful winding road with lush tropical foliage showing the beauty of PV.
Once we reach the beach, we will walk a few meters from the bus stop to the beach.
Our boat will take a few minutes to be ready, so we will stop and relax at a table in the restaurant where we will enjoy a beautiful view.
You're not obliged to ask for anything.
After boarding the boat, we will head south along the coastline towards Yelapa for about 20 - 30 minutes and point out the various hidden beaches along the way.
We have 2 places to snorkel. Enjoy the marine life and many fish around you.
We will spend up to ~30 minutes in each place. We provide snorkeling equipment, snorkel tube and fins.
On the way back, we will stop at one of our favorite hidden beaches for 30 minutes.
On the beach you can enjoy coconuts, alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, beer, water, etc.
After leaving the beach, we will return to Boca to eat.

Q: Can I go snorkeling if I cannot swim?
A:

Yes, this is possible, as long as you are comfortable going into the water. All Cool Puerto Vallarta snorkeling tours adhere to strict safety regulations and have been designed to be enjoyed by all.

Your safety is our #1 priority, which is why:

  1. You will be wearing a flotation device at all times.
  2. On many tours, there is a stairway from the boat into the water so you won’t have to “jump” in!
  3. There are trained staff in the water and watching from the boat at all times.

For these reasons, we believe that even non-swimmers can have a wonderful time on our snorkeling trips, however, the final judgment call is yours to make. Please note we do not give refunds if you decide not to snorkel on the trip.

Q: Can we use our own snorkeling gear?

The snorkel gear we use on Cool Puerto Vallarta tours is high quality and for your protection, the equipment is sanitized after each use. However, if you feel more comfortable using your own snorkeling equipment, feel free to bring it on the tour. Please note, there is no discount for providing your own equipment and we can’t be responsible for any lost or damaged items.

There are no legal age limits for snorkeling. We have found that age 5 or 6 is a good age to learn the basics of snorkeling, however, it’s entirely up to individuals to make the best choice for their family.

  • Cool Rewards is a loyalty program operated by Cool Destinations. Rewards may be earned by any eligible person holding a Cool Destinations account, subject to the Cool Destinations customer Terms of Use.

Earning rewards

  • Rewards can be earned by making bookings on the Cool Destinations website. You will be able to see the value of the rewards you can earn during the booking process.
  • Earned rewards will be issued in a pending state and will move to a confirmed state 24 hours after the start time of the experience.
  • Earned rewards will be available to redeem once they are no longer in a pending state.
  • For bookings that are moved to a different travel date, the rewards will be redeemable after the amended travel date.
  • If a booking where rewards were issued is canceled, the earned rewards will not be redeemable and will be moved to a canceled state.

Redeeming rewards

  • To redeem rewards, you must be logged into your Cool Destinations account.
  • Any available rewards will be automatically applied the next time you make a booking, and their value will be deducted from your order at checkout, unless you choose not to apply them, which requires you to indicate this via the toggle switch. Bookings made using rewards are subject to the standard Cool Destinations Customer Terms of Use.
  • You will not be able to redeem only a portion of your available rewards at checkout. It is only possible to redeem all or none of your available rewards.
