The instructor was great. Changing partners was a great learning tool. That for her patience as well.

We took a salsa lesson package and it was fantastic! My husband and I are total beginners but we learned the basics so we could join in a local outdoor dance fiesta with our instructor. Jeanne offered to take us to a location with a real salsa band! The history of salsa she shared during our lesson was very interesting too - and lots of tidbits of information about the local area too. Highly recommend!

It was a great fun night & the instructor was great & helpful. Staff at the cantina were all friendly & welcoming! We’d go again to dance!

Learning salsa with Jeanne was an absolute joy from start to finish. She has a gift of making something feel both approachable and exhilarating at the same time. She breaks movements down in a way that makes them click, and her love for salsa is unmistakable and completely contagious.We walked away not just with new steps, but with a genuine sense of accomplishment and a bigger love for the dance. Jeanne is an incredible instructor and an even better energy to learn from.

This Salsa and Latin Rhythms tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Jeanne was absolutely amazing — warm, friendly, and so knowledgeable about salsa’s history and culture. She really took the time to make the experience special for us.What made it even better was seeing my husband — who’s not much of a dancer — completely let his guard down and join in. Jeanne’s relaxed, patient teaching style made him feel comfortable, and by the end, he was having a blast dancing with me!We started with a fun, easy-going class in a beautiful, quiet park, then moved to a local outdoor dance night where we practiced some of our steps with a friendly crowd. The night wrapped up at a lively salsa bar, where we listened to great Cuban music all night!. You don’t need to be an expert — just bring your energy and a smile.I highly recommend this experience, especially with Jeanne leading the way. It was an unforgettable, joyful night that I’ll always cherish!

La Catrina Cantina is hands down one of my favorite go-to spots in Puerto Vallarta! 🎶 From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with amazing energy, incredible staff, and the comfort of blessed AC (a lifesaver in PV).What really makes this place stand out is the continuous live music and dance lessons—there’s always something happening to keep you entertained and moving. 💃🏽🕺🏽 The food is fantastic, flavorful, and always hits the spot, whether you’re popping in for a bite or settling in for a full night of fun.The staff is beyond welcoming and makes you feel like part of the family every time. Combine that with great music, dancing, delicious food, and cool air… it’s easy to see why La Catrina Cantina has become a local favorite. 🌟If you’re in Puerto Vallarta, this is a must-visit spot!

They have great singers and entertainment nightly. The staff is very attentive and friendly (and attractive!) So many activities and such a variety of entertainment throughout the week.

La Catrina is an ideal place if you enjoy rhythms such as salsa, cumbia, merengue and bachata. It is not the first time I visit it, and it always offers fun themed nights that adapt to different musical tastes such as drag nights, band nights, etc.The dance floor is small, so be prepared to dance "tight," but let's be honest... where is salsa not danced like that? The music is live karaoke style: the singers perform the songs with recorded tracks, so don't expect a band on stage, but still the atmosphere is very lively.As for food and drink, the prices are reasonable. Drinks can vary depending on who prepares them, some are more loaded than others, but in general they are fine. The food is typical bar: good to accompany the night, although it does not stand out especially. You're greeted with a little canister of popcorn.The staff is friendly and friendly, although the service can be somewhat slow when the place gets full.

Sophie and her assistant Miguel were excellent teachers who introduced us to bachata. The small criticism is that the venue was a bar that seemed to know that we part of a tour. Additionally, the tour indicated that drinks were included as part of the price, but they were not provided and we ended up paying for them.
