Explore Guadalupe Church, the Main Square, City Hall, the Municipal Market, and Cuale River Island with our local team before stepping into the kitchen.
At Gaby’s, a family-owned restaurant since 1989, cook alongside our chefs and discover family recipes and Mexican traditions. Prepare traditional street tacos, handmade corn tortillas, cheese quesadillas, fresh guacamole, and two signature salsas: Topo Chico Avocado Salsa and Gaby’s Fire-Roasted Salsa.
Mix a classic margarita and make cinnamon-sugar churros from scratch. Then gather around the table to enjoy everything you prepared.
With a maximum of 12 participants, this evening brings together local culture, rooftop views, and practical cooking skills you can take home.

What To Expect
Discover Puerto Vallarta’s culture and flavors with a guided downtown walk and hands-on rooftop cooking class at Gaby’s Restaurant, a family-owned tradition since 1989.
Meet our local team at Gaby’s and explore Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, the Main Square, City Hall, the Municipal Market, and Cuale River Island. Hear stories about the city’s history and traditions before returning to our rooftop kitchen.
Put on your apron and cook alongside our chefs. Learn to press corn tortillas and cook them on a comal, make cheese quesadillas, and prepare traditional Mexican street tacos served with your handmade tortillas and freshly prepared salsas.
Make fresh guacamole and two signature salsas: creamy Topo Chico Avocado Salsa and Gaby’s Fire-Roasted Salsa. Learn about Mexican chiles, corn, spices, and how roasting brings out different flavors.
Mix a classic margarita with tequila and fresh lime juice. Then prepare churros from scratch, shape and fry them until golden, and coat them in cinnamon sugar.
Finish by sitting down together on the rooftop terrace to enjoy the Mexican feast you helped prepare.
