I read all the reviews first and they had the best ones, and all the reviews were right. Definitely come on their boat the Mona Lisa with them!

If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta, booking this tour with Alex is an absolute MUST! From start to finish, the entire day was pure perfection. Alex is a wonderful guide—warm, super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and simply great company to be around. He makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable right from the moment you meet. The itinerary itself is balanced so well: you get a fun hike through beautiful scenery, plenty of time to relax and swim, and fantastic spots for snorkeling (Playa Majahuitas and Quimixto are just breathtaking!). Alex knows all the best local details, facts, and hidden spots, which makes the whole experience feel personal and unique rather than just another commercial tour. It was truly a perfect day, and Alex made it so memorable. I couldn't recommend him highly enough—10/10! Thank you, Alex! ❤️

Fernando was amazing! He picked is up right at the cruise terminal and gave us a quick rundown of the itinerary. We were able to tell him what we were interested in, and he tailored some of the stops just for us. The birria taco place he took us when we asked for great tacos was also fantastic (we went twice during the tour)! He was extremely knowledgeable about the city, was able to answer all our questions, and just really made the city seem like a fun, welcoming place. With a group of four, the price was perfect and could not be beat. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Puerto Vallarta!

Michael was an amazing educated guide who helped us to find rare and remarkable birds, including the Mexican hermit hummingbird. He was a trained knowledgeable about birds, Whales dolphins, and is a native of the area. This is not the exact tour we went on, but it’s the closest I could find.

I can’t say enough positive things about Curiel. He’s the owner of this business and currently is the only guide. We did the Mismaloya Waterfall hike on our first day of our trip and it was the highlight of my week. I went during the rainy season which I’m a fan of the jungle. Just prepare for the humidity and heat. So a lot of water and electrolytes as it’s not an easy short hike but I was well aware of that. Curiel brought snacks, electrolytes to share, took us to a small local restaurant in the mountains before a hike for some of the best birria I have ever had. The breakfast was paid for by Curiel. He took on the hike with just my wife and I with 1 day notice. So he happened to be open the day I was available and made an amazing adventure. Curiel is very knowledgeable about the plants, birds, and wildlife in general. He also has an amazing personality and is very friendly and outgoing. I will definitely only be booking with Curiel for my future hikes.

Michael was AMAZING - he has such incredible knowledge of the birds and trees in the area and we had such a fabulous time spotting nearly 50 types of birds! We're fairly new to birding and this was such a special experience that has fueled us wanting to do birding more frequently. We also really appreciate that this company is truly eco friendly and ensures that nature and wildlife are protected on the types tpurs.Highly recommend this tour and EcoTours!

Our day with Obi Tours was one of the absolute highlights of our week in Puerto Vallarta!We booked the private Sayulita and San Pancho tour for our group of six, and from the moment Obi and Elizabeth picked us up in their clean, comfortable, air-conditioned van, we knew we were in good hands.Throughout the day, they shared so much knowledge about Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and the places we visited. Their passion for what they do really shines through, and they made every stop interesting and enjoyable.One of our favorite surprises was a stop at a roadside fruit stand where they had arranged a tasting of several local fruits. It was such a fun experience that we never would have found on our own.The tequila tasting was another unforgettable part of the day. It was entertaining, informative, and honestly featured the best tequila we’ve ever had! We learned so much and had a great time.In Sayulita, they took us to a wonderful beachfront restaurant before giving us free time to explore the town at our own pace. We also loved visiting beautiful San Pancho.One of the most thoughtful touches was that Elizabeth took photos throughout the entire tour—both candid and posed—and shared them with us afterward at no extra charge. It allowed us to simply enjoy the day while knowing the memories were being captured.What really sets Obi Tours apart is that this didn’t feel like a typical tour. It felt like spending the day with two wonderful people who genuinely love sharing their home and culture with their guests.If we’re fortunate enough to visit Puerto Vallarta again, we’ll absolutely be booking another tour with Obi and Elizabeth. Chema and Arel were fantastic! It was great to get out of the city and experience the water, local town feel, and views of the area. Snorkeling in Los Arcos we saw eels, schools of fish, and coral. The town of Yalapa was wonderful. Fantastic homemade food and friendly local people. I would recommend this to anyone looking to experience more than just the big city tourism of Puerto Vallarta. They provided snorkeling gear, a cooler, and some great stories about life in PV! Being on the boat just the four of us on the water made our trip. Best empanadas the whole visit.

This was a fun tour experience! The tour guides knew their Puerto Vallarta history and shared relevant stories from the the past to current times. There are a lot great and fun things coming to PV and Obi Tours will be a great addition to any vacation plans! They had great energy and attitude. Our guide Dani and our boat captain Ricardo were the best. We were supposed to be a group of 5, but the other 3 people never showed up so my wife and I basically had a private tour. Dani and Ricardo were very friendly and they did an awesome job of taking care of us at every part of the trip. It was the highlight of our stay thanks to them and we would absolutely do it again. Next time we’re bringing our whole family and asking for Dani and Ricardo.

How delightful to be picked up at our hotel on time by Jose (Pepe), a true PV native, who drove us up the mountain to San Sebastian and gave us plenty of history and tips along the way. This is butterfly season - we drove through swarms of butterflies on the way into the Sierra Madre. The tequila/raicilla tasting at Don Lalin was wonderful as was lunch at El Comedor de Lupita in San Sebastian, a local authentic Mexican restaurant - the chicken mole was superb. We enjoyed popping into the local shops and walking around the town. Unfortunately, the plaza is being repaired right now, but it's still a lovely day trip, especially now in the off season since it's much cooler in the mountains and traffic is less crazy!
