We booked the Signature City Tour: The Private Experience with Obi Tours in Puerto Vallarta, and it exceeded every expectation. Obi picked us up right from our resort and gave us a full 7 hours of pure magic, weaving together the culture and history of Puerto Vallarta in a way that felt personal and alive, not like a rehearsed script.We never once felt rushed. Obi thoughtfully planned out our day so that when it was time to go shopping, it was scheduled for the latter part of the trip, so we didn't have to haul bags around while we were still touring. When it was time to eat, he introduced us to a new restaurant tucked away in a secluded area that felt like a tropical paradise overlooking the river, it was such a special find.What made this tour truly special was Obi himself. From the moment we met him, he made us feel like old friends catching up rather than strangers on a tour. As a fellow entrepreneur, I found our conversations along the way genuinely inspiring, hearing about his journey, his positivity, and his dreams for the future added a whole extra layer to the day that I wasn't expecting but deeply appreciated.You can tell Obi truly loves what he does, and that passion is contagious. By the end of our time together, he had made us believers in Obi Tours, and we can't wait to see this business grow. This was also the tour that made my birthday one I'll never forget.My phone unfortunately decided it would no longer turn on today, so all the pictures I took while on the tour are just on hold until I can get my phone fixed, but Obi took so many pictures along the way that I'm not even worried; I can't wait to see them when they get emailed over.If you're visiting Puerto Vallarta and want more than just a sightseeing trip, if you want a real, meaningful experience with someone who cares, book Obi Tours. The agency that runs the tour is EXCELLENT, very attentive, the service is very, very good, the food is very delicious, the activities are super good for my children.The only and very bad experience was with Cool Puerto Vallarta as an intermediary, they did not give the correct instructions since the tour says it is for ages 6 to 90 and when we arrived they said that only children 11 years and older can enter the Marietas Islands, they also did not tell me that you have to pay 1,000 more per person to enter the hidden beach.

I can’t say enough positive things about Curiel. He’s the owner of this business and currently is the only guide. We did the Mismaloya Waterfall hike on our first day of our trip and it was the highlight of my week. I went during the rainy season which I’m a fan of the jungle. Just prepare for the humidity and heat. So a lot of water and electrolytes as it’s not an easy short hike but I was well aware of that. Curiel brought snacks, electrolytes to share, took us to a small local restaurant in the mountains before a hike for some of the best birria I have ever had. The breakfast was paid for by Curiel. He took on the hike with just my wife and I with 1 day notice. So he happened to be open the day I was available and made an amazing adventure. Curiel is very knowledgeable about the plants, birds, and wildlife in general. He also has an amazing personality and is very friendly and outgoing. I will definitely only be booking with Curiel for my future hikes.

Michael was AMAZING - he has such incredible knowledge of the birds and trees in the area and we had such a fabulous time spotting nearly 50 types of birds! We're fairly new to birding and this was such a special experience that has fueled us wanting to do birding more frequently. We also really appreciate that this company is truly eco friendly and ensures that nature and wildlife are protected on the types tpurs.Highly recommend this tour and EcoTours!

If you want to swim or snorkel in deep, blue crystal waters off of Marietas Islands and enjoy the magic of Majahuitas beach club with lunch in the same day, then book this tour. The price is affordable for an all day excursion (8am to 3:30pm). The tour guide, Felipe, and crew - Kevin, Francesco, Alex, and Fernando - were friendly, extremely attentive and knowledgeable, and fun. Our tour was in English and Spanish. The swimming at Marietas was great! Between the swimming/snorkeling at Marietas and lunch/beach time, they provided refreshments, including an open bar. The staff at Majahuitas also made a delicious lunch with cold drinks. On the boat ride back, Felipe and his crew surprised us with a show-lots of singing and dancing. There were lots of cold drinks and music on our return trip to the port. Overall, this was a fantastic way to experience Puerto Vallarta!

Our day with Obi Tours was one of the absolute highlights of our week in Puerto Vallarta!We booked the private Sayulita and San Pancho tour for our group of six, and from the moment Obi and Elizabeth picked us up in their clean, comfortable, air-conditioned van, we knew we were in good hands.Throughout the day, they shared so much knowledge about Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and the places we visited. Their passion for what they do really shines through, and they made every stop interesting and enjoyable.One of our favorite surprises was a stop at a roadside fruit stand where they had arranged a tasting of several local fruits. It was such a fun experience that we never would have found on our own.The tequila tasting was another unforgettable part of the day. It was entertaining, informative, and honestly featured the best tequila we’ve ever had! We learned so much and had a great time.In Sayulita, they took us to a wonderful beachfront restaurant before giving us free time to explore the town at our own pace. We also loved visiting beautiful San Pancho.One of the most thoughtful touches was that Elizabeth took photos throughout the entire tour—both candid and posed—and shared them with us afterward at no extra charge. It allowed us to simply enjoy the day while knowing the memories were being captured.What really sets Obi Tours apart is that this didn’t feel like a typical tour. It felt like spending the day with two wonderful people who genuinely love sharing their home and culture with their guests.If we’re fortunate enough to visit Puerto Vallarta again, we’ll absolutely be booking another tour with Obi and Elizabeth.
