Best day ever in Puerto Vallarta! Thank you Pepe for taking us everywhere we wanted to go and then some! Modern and old parts of the city, up the mountain coast to a beautiful site and delicious lunch. Shopping was great too, with trustworthy, non pushy friendly vendors. We'll be back to see you again!

Fernando was amazing! He picked is up right at the cruise terminal and gave us a quick rundown of the itinerary. We were able to tell him what we were interested in, and he tailored some of the stops just for us. The birria taco place he took us when we asked for great tacos was also fantastic (we went twice during the tour)! He was extremely knowledgeable about the city, was able to answer all our questions, and just really made the city seem like a fun, welcoming place. With a group of four, the price was perfect and could not be beat. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Puerto Vallarta!

The agency that runs the tour is EXCELLENT, very attentive, the service is very, very good, the food is very delicious, the activities are super good for my children.The only and very bad experience was with Cool Puerto Vallarta as an intermediary, they did not give the correct instructions since the tour says it is for ages 6 to 90 and when we arrived they said that only children 11 years and older can enter the Marietas Islands, they also did not tell me that you have to pay 1,000 more per person to enter the hidden beach.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Vallarta Roots and Pepe! 🇲🇽🌴We booked round-trip transportation from Puerto Vallarta Airport to Iberostar Playa Mita, which is about an hour away. We had six ladies on the way to the resort, and Pepe arrived with a spacious van where everyone had plenty of room for themselves, luggage, and personal items.From the very beginning, his communication was excellent. He was extremely prompt and gave us very clear instructions on exactly where to meet him at the airport. After walking outside into the August heat and humidity, we were especially grateful for the cold towels, bottled water, and delicious welcome drinks waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch!On our departure day, Pepe picked us up exactly at 8:30 AM, as promised. He helped load all of our luggage and, along the way, shared so much local information about the areas we were driving through. What started as transportation turned into so much more.He took us around Puerto Vallarta and stopped at several local highlights so we could take everything in and get some great photos. We also stopped at a little shopping area where we were able to pick up trinkets for ourselves and our families. The prices were very reasonable, and they had practically everything you could want—from souvenirs to candy and ice cream. It ended up being a perfect little one-stop shopping stop.He then took us farther along the coast to see more of Puerto Vallarta and really made the most of our time together. He kept a close eye on the clock and got us back to the airport with plenty of time to check our luggage and get through security without feeling rushed.And I have to mention his driving! 😂 Some of the cobblestone streets in Puerto Vallarta are incredibly narrow, yet Pepe navigated them with impeccable driving skills. I felt completely comfortable the entire time.August was HOT and extremely humid, so having a comfortable, air-conditioned van to return to throughout the day was honestly a blessing. It allowed us to see so much more without spending the entire day walking around in the heat.By the end of the day, Pepe honestly felt less like our transportation driver and more like a really good friend who happened to be showing us around Puerto Vallarta. ❤️I’ll actually be returning to the area with my family in November, and I already know I’ll be reaching out to Vallarta Roots again. This time, I’d love for Pepe to take us to some of the places I didn’t get to explore as much and show my family more of the area.If you’re visiting Puerto Vallarta and want more than just a ride from point A to point B, I highly recommend Vallarta Roots. The hospitality, communication, local knowledge, comfort, and personal attention really made our experience special.Thank you, Pepe, for taking such great care of us and making our time in Puerto Vallarta even more memorable! 🇲🇽

From the purchase, the experience was very quick and simple. During the tour, all the members of the operator gave us a straightforward explanation of what the tour would be like. We scheduled for Marietas + Playa del Amor, and it was excellent; they provided us with breakfast, snacks, and lunch, as well as an open bar. I do not drink alcohol, but the bartender was super nice and prepared non-alcoholic drinks for me :) We had a day with high tide, and I must mention: you need to be in good physical condition to do this tour. I had never swum in open water, and although I managed to do it (and felt happy for doing so), it is very tiring! When we went to Playa del Amor, the tide almost did not allow us to pass. To enter, we had to swim under the entrance, and we became very nervous.... The staff on the boat was INCREDIBLE and helped us cross both ways. We could not be more grateful. Later, we went to Palo Verde; you can kayak, and they play music on the boat, making the trip very enjoyable. It was my birthday, and everyone was very kind; they sang 'Las Mañanitas' to me, and I had a great time. I definitely recommend it a hundred percent, considering that my whole body hurts after swimming in the sea. I forgot to mention that the boat provides snorkeling gear. There are many things you can add for an extra price; I decided not to get any, and I still had an excellent time.

Had an amazing time on our boat day in Puerto Vallarta! The boat had plenty of space for our group and could comfortably fit our group without feeling cramped. Daniel was an incredible captain — super friendly, accommodating, aesthetically pleasing and tailored the entire itinerary exactly to what we wanted instead of doing a generic tour. He really made the experience feel personalized and stress-free.Highly recommend booking with Daniel if you’re looking for a fun, smooth experience in PVR.

Be patient if fishing the afternoon! It may take awhile but our guides got it done! The CPT and deckhand were super friendly, funny, patient, and fun! 🎣 💪

What an amazing adventure we had on this private boat trip from Puerto Vallarta to Yelapa aboard the Leylanny! Victor, our captain and guide, truly went above and beyond—making sure we were comfortable, well taken care of, and fully immersed in the beauty of his hometown.The snorkeling was incredible. We saw so many varieties of marine life, including puffer fish, angelfish, eels, and countless other colorful fish I couldn’t even name. It felt like swimming in an aquarium.I highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting the area. It was absolutely worth the price and exceeded our expectations in every way. You won’t be disappointed!

They offer excellent, fun service for all. They pay a lot of attention to the safety of the passengers and make the trip super fun, you will never be bored. They assist you at all times. The food and the drinks are great! The music and the games are fun. We really loved our time in this trip.

We enjoyed our salsa making class immensely! Miel and Sylvia were knowledgeable, fun, and patient. They shared loads of interesting information about the history of the ingredients. The salsas we made were delicious and I learned some tricks for prepping ingredients that will be game changers in my kitchen. I highly, highly recommend the class and any other future offerings from this dynamic duo!

We had so much fun making 4 different salsas! Sylvia is full of knowledge and incredibly charming. I will be back to PV and definitely do this again.

We went on a whale watching tour with Grimar Adventures recently from Punta Mita and it was incredible. Seeing whales is obviously a bit of luck but our guides did an amazing job spotting whales from a distance and getting us closer to them. They were super knowledgeable and answered tons of questions we had. We got super lucky near the end of the tour and spotted a female, male, and baby all together jumping and splashing their fins and tails. It was incredible. A once in a lifetime sight.
