Our guide Cervando was amazing. He gave us a great overview of quite a few colonias (neighborhoods) in Puerto Vallarta including Marina Vallarta, 5 de Diciembre, Centro and Zona Romantica. He also gave us a tour of a local market in 5 de Diciembre near where he grew up...including fresh tortillas and salsa. He is very knowledgeable about the city as he is native resident. He is a very safe driver and gives you the option to tailor your tour to your liking, if there are specific sites and areas you would like to see. He also gave us suggestions for various street vendors and restaurants to try while we are here.

If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta, booking this tour with Alex is an absolute MUST! From start to finish, the entire day was pure perfection. Alex is a wonderful guide—warm, super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and simply great company to be around. He makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable right from the moment you meet. The itinerary itself is balanced so well: you get a fun hike through beautiful scenery, plenty of time to relax and swim, and fantastic spots for snorkeling (Playa Majahuitas and Quimixto are just breathtaking!). Alex knows all the best local details, facts, and hidden spots, which makes the whole experience feel personal and unique rather than just another commercial tour. I enjoyed this tour immensely. We met at the Mismaloya Xtreme office in Puerto Vallarta, which was very close to and convenient for us staying in the Zona Romantica. A shuttle driver drove us to Mismaloya, where we went on a boat and snorkelled around the beautiful small, boulder islands. It was so magical snorkelling through the tunnels and around the islands. The guides gave us some information about the unique bird species living on the islands. The number of brightly colouredfish was astounding. Later, they brought us to a small beach where we had another chance to snorkel. I declined to do the cliff jumping at the beginning, but most of our group did it and enjoyed it. The guides were professional friendly, and knowledgeable. Don’t hesitate to book this tour for a fun day on the water with magnificent snorkelling.

I can’t say enough positive things about Curiel. He’s the owner of this business and currently is the only guide. We did the Mismaloya Waterfall hike on our first day of our trip and it was the highlight of my week. I went during the rainy season which I’m a fan of the jungle. Just prepare for the humidity and heat. So a lot of water and electrolytes as it’s not an easy short hike but I was well aware of that. Curiel brought snacks, electrolytes to share, took us to a small local restaurant in the mountains before a hike for some of the best birria I have ever had. The breakfast was paid for by Curiel. He took on the hike with just my wife and I with 1 day notice. So he happened to be open the day I was available and made an amazing adventure. Curiel is very knowledgeable about the plants, birds, and wildlife in general. He also has an amazing personality and is very friendly and outgoing. I will definitely only be booking with Curiel for my future hikes.

Our experience with the tour was exceptional, largely due to our outstanding driver and guide, Cervando. He is highly professional, knowledgeable, and knows Puerto Vallarta like the palm of his hand. What made the tour particularly valuable was the opportunity to experience both the modern, popular tourist areas and the less-touristy, more authentic parts of Puerto Vallarta. The contrast between these areas provided a unique perspective and made the tour much more interesting and memorable. Cervando was accommodating, attentive, considerate, and genuinely friendly throughout the entire experience. His professionalism and local knowledge greatly enhanced the tour.

We loved our private adventure with Oceanus to Tres Marietas. Eduardo was our primary contact. He agreed to pick us (husband, wife, 10 year old son) up from our local hotel and drive us to the pier. Upon arrival, Eduardo gave my son and I a 30 minute surfing lesson and included boogie boards as well on the gentle waves next to the pier. Then, he introduced use to Tomas, our personal guide, and our boat captain. We were taken on a 25-30 foot boat out to Hidden Beach first. I thought we would be part of a small group, but it ended up being a private tour! Tomas secured our phone/camera in a waterproof container and led us under the tunnel to Hidden Beach! We spent 30 minutes or so in the beach area and Tomas took wonderful photographs of our family from several angles that he knew would be great. He answered all of my son's questions patiently. We swam back and toured the islands from the boat, seeing other landmarks and observing lots of wildlife. Then, we snorkeled at Skull Rock with many colorful fish and visited another beach on a neighboring island. All in all, it was about 3 hours on the adventure. Upon our return, Eduardo had prepared a delicious shrimp ceviche for my wife and I and had purchased a special quesadilla for my picky eating son, which we ate on a beach adjacent to the pier. Eduardo offered additional surfing time before safely driving us back to our resort. I thought it was an excellent value and a lot of fun for $700USD, inclusive of gratuity. I think it would be a great trip for families of up to 8-10 people or couples wanting a romantic adventure together. I highly recommend Oceanus, Eduardo, and Tomas in Punta Mita.

Our family of 13 including 6 preteen & teens and 5 adults from across the US & New Zealand took this fantastic tour during our vacation to Mexico. Manny our guide and Miguel our captain were just the best! Easy boarding then boated to another dock to pick up a lovely honeymoon couple. We boated to the isolated village of Yelapa first, only accessible by boat. We hiked up to the waterfall and splashed in the fresh water pool. Manny clearly knew the locals and told us they make their living off of tourists, so we made a few purchases. I bought a beautiful rosewood mortar & pestle from a local woodworker & we had amazing empanadas on the way down. Check out the local agave moonshine! After reboarding, we stopped in a small inlet to snorkel. It was an amazing experience. Such abundance of beautiful fish! Back on the boat we stopped at another beach for a lunch of delicious ceviche & cervesas and some swimming. This was a lovely introduction to a culture and landscape very different our own. Highly recommend!

Our tour of Sayulita with Moises was a wonderful way to spend the day and a highlight for my partner and I on our trip!Our tour guide, Moises, was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and knew the best local spots as well as the history of Sayulita and Mexico. He was so easy to be around and we had so much fun exploring the town with him. We ate good food, authentic tacos, great coffee and artisan chocolate- each with a wonderful story behind the food and the people. We visited the Hippy market and got a good lesson in the culture behind the crafts. We also received great recommendations from Moises on further ways to explore the city- hiking and beach recommendations, as well ans best margaritas in town etc. We can’t recommend this tour enough! Come hungry, be prepared to walk a few miles but nothing difficult, and enjoy the open dialogue and heart that Moises brings to the tour!
