Pablo, our tour guide, and Ricardo, our captain, were fantastic. They made my sister's birthday extra special by capturing amazing moments throughout the trip, including beautiful sunsets, rainbows, and lots of laughter. The bioluminescent snorkeling experience wasn't something we originally planned to do, but Pablo made us feel comfortable and confident enough to give it a try. Whether you decide to get in the water or just enjoy from the boat, be prepared to get wet. Definitely wear something you don't mind getting completely soaked. Highly recommend this experience!

The entire experience was wonderful! Thalia is a gem, smart, kind, educational, and professional. Angel drove the boat with grace, smooth and elegant! The private snorkel tour of los Arcos was the best snorkel tours I have been on in the area. We got there early got to see many fish and birds. As a marine biologist Thalia know them all, and their habits. As a biologist myself it was wonderful to learn about the ecosystem of the Arcos, but if you’re not into that the information is not overwhelming. She took us on a great snorkeling adventure, made sure we were all safe, comfortable, and relaxed.the boat was big and comfortable with an observation deck for up to two people and a small cabin with toilet if needed. Thanks again Angel and Thalia, I will be back!

We went on a whale watching tour with Grimar Adventures recently from Punta Mita and it was incredible. Seeing whales is obviously a bit of luck but our guides did an amazing job spotting whales from a distance and getting us closer to them. They were super knowledgeable and answered tons of questions we had. We got super lucky near the end of the tour and spotted a female, male, and baby all together jumping and splashing their fins and tails. It was incredible. A once in a lifetime sight. See the attached pics.I would definitely ride out with Grimar again. Highly recommended.

I have been on many tours in Puerto Vallarta and this was my first trip with Eco Explorers. It will not be the last. My 15 year old niece and I decided to check it out an we were not disappointed. I loved the smaller boat experience, we were a group of 11 people with three guides that looked after us. Our Captain, Hector was an excellent Navegador. The ride to the Marietas Islands was smooth sailing thanks to him. Eric was our main guide and he was very knowledgeable about the local species. The entire team were very personable, remembered all our names and really seemed to care about our comfort and enjoyment. The hidden beach is a beautiful work of Mother Nature and in my opinion worth the additional $600 pesos. The snorkelling was not the best I have done but we saw lots of fish and PV is not renowned for its snorkelling anyway. Our lunch was a delicious ham and cheese sandwich with fresh fruit and fresh water. You can bring your own beer if you can’t live without booze for a few hours. I appreciated that this wasn’t a booze cruise as so many of the tours are. On our trip back to Puerto Vallarta we saw many humpback whales and even a sea turtle! We did this private whale watching excursion while in Puerto Vallarta as part of a cruise stop. I want to be clear that through no fault of the tour operator, the walk from the cruise port to the meeting point was pretty brutal — busy sidewalk, lots of traffic, and longer than expected. We walked there and back, and in hindsight, a short cab ride would have been the way to go. We did end up waiting a bit longer than planned for pickup, but once we were on the boat and headed out, it was absolutely worth it. It was a short ride before we started seeing whales, and we saw quite a few. We were able to get some really great photos, which made the whole experience even better. The whales we saw were fin whales, which I had never seen before, so that alone made the excursion really special for me. Overall, despite a few logistical hiccups, we truly enjoyed our day and were really glad we did this experience.
