Our guide was very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the day driving through the rain forest and the restaurant he took us to for lunch.

Best day ever in Puerto Vallarta! Thank you Pepe for taking us everywhere we wanted to go and then some! Modern and old parts of the city, up the mountain coast to a beautiful site and delicious lunch. Shopping was great too, with trustworthy, non pushy friendly vendors. We'll be back to see you again!

Fernando was amazing! He picked is up right at the cruise terminal and gave us a quick rundown of the itinerary. We were able to tell him what we were interested in, and he tailored some of the stops just for us. The birria taco place he took us when we asked for great tacos was also fantastic (we went twice during the tour)! He was extremely knowledgeable about the city, was able to answer all our questions, and just really made the city seem like a fun, welcoming place. With a group of four, the price was perfect and could not be beat. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Puerto Vallarta!

We spent another wonderful day with Alejandro, owner of Luna Tours and Hiking. This was our 2nd time booking with him, and as before, our experience was exceptional. If you are looking for a small group, intimate tour, Alejandro and his company can't be beat.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Vallarta Roots and Pepe! 🇲🇽🌴We booked round-trip transportation from Puerto Vallarta Airport to Iberostar Playa Mita, which is about an hour away. We had six ladies on the way to the resort, and Pepe arrived with a spacious van where everyone had plenty of room for themselves, luggage, and personal items.From the very beginning, his communication was excellent. He was extremely prompt and gave us very clear instructions on exactly where to meet him at the airport. After walking outside into the August heat and humidity, we were especially grateful for the cold towels, bottled water, and delicious welcome drinks waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch!On our departure day, Pepe picked us up exactly at 8:30 AM, as promised. He helped load all of our luggage and, along the way, shared so much local information about the areas we were driving through. What started as transportation turned into so much more.He took us around Puerto Vallarta and stopped at several local highlights so we could take everything in and get some great photos. We also stopped at a little shopping area where we were able to pick up trinkets for ourselves and our families. The prices were very reasonable, and they had practically everything you could want—from souvenirs to candy and ice cream. It ended up being a perfect little one-stop shopping stop.He then took us farther along the coast to see more of Puerto Vallarta and really made the most of our time together. He kept a close eye on the clock and got us back to the airport with plenty of time to check our luggage and get through security without feeling rushed.And I have to mention his driving! 😂 Some of the cobblestone streets in Puerto Vallarta are incredibly narrow, yet Pepe navigated them with impeccable driving skills. I felt completely comfortable the entire time.August was HOT and extremely humid, so having a comfortable, air-conditioned van to return to throughout the day was honestly a blessing. It allowed us to see so much more without spending the entire day walking around in the heat.By the end of the day, Pepe honestly felt less like our transportation driver and more like a really good friend who happened to be showing us around Puerto Vallarta. ❤️I’ll actually be returning to the area with my family in November, and I already know I’ll be reaching out to Vallarta Roots again. This time, I’d love for Pepe to take us to some of the places I didn’t get to explore as much and show my family more of the area.If you’re visiting Puerto Vallarta and want more than just a ride from point A to point B, I highly recommend Vallarta Roots. We had such a great experience with Alejandro, while visiting Nayarit! We actually ended up using his services twice during our trip, which says a lot about how much we enjoyed having him as our guide.He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. We had so much fun, they brought us to the gorgeous and best places out there, talked with us and we felt really welcomed, we had so much fun and learned and saw so many new cool stuff, I really recommend them, because you won’t be bored out there with them. :)

We absolutely loved this trip. Normally my Sister drives but this time she wanted to see and enjoy it so we had the choice to drive or be driven. So we asked for a driver when we booked. The trip going was scenic and pretty . When we got there Our driver was Javier who looked after as so well. Being both in our 60’s he was kind and considerate of us. Asked if we wanted to go fast or slow. We chose fast lol. Be aware this is a dusty ride so you get covered. 😁 We drove to the water fall which you can have a swim in. After that we drove to stop where you can get refreshments and clean up at the washroom. The view was beautiful and you can take photos. You also see the longest suspension bridge in the world which you will be driving over. The view when driving over is beautiful. Once back you can see all your photos. Have something to eat if hungry and go tequila tasting. There is also a pool where you can swim while waiting for your transport home. My sister and I couldn’t fault the trip at all.

We had a great time on our city tour. Miguel was attentive to our needs as a family. He made amazing recommendations for food and shopping! He also was very knowledgeable of the history of the city. We had a fun and felt very safe! We used Miguel for transportation to the airport as well.

Our tour of Sayulita with Moises was a wonderful way to spend the day and a highlight for my partner and I on our trip!Our tour guide, Moises, was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and knew the best local spots as well as the history of Sayulita and Mexico. He was so easy to be around and we had so much fun exploring the town with him. We ate good food, authentic tacos, great coffee and artisan chocolate- each with a wonderful story behind the food and the people. We visited the Hippy market and got a good lesson in the culture behind the crafts. We also received great recommendations from Moises on further ways to explore the city- hiking and beach recommendations, as well ans best margaritas in town etc. We can’t recommend this tour enough! Come hungry, be prepared to walk a few miles but nothing difficult, and enjoy the open dialogue and heart that Moises brings to the tour!

Alejandro was a great guide! He was flexible and customized our tour to work for our time/interests. He was kind and knowledgeable and very nice to chat with throughout the day. Luna Tours and Hiking, lead by Alejandro and Moises, is by far, one of the best tour companies I have every come across. Not just in Mexico, but anywhere in the world - and I've traveled a lot. They are knowledgable, friendly, experienced and best of all, treat you like family. Over the years, we've taken many tours from them - Sayulita, Los Colomitos, snorkeling, city tours, etc. Look them up, read other reviews. Book a tour with them in Puerto Vallarta - you will not be sorry!

I loved the tour as I got to know the history of Puerto Vallarta. I also really enjoyed the experience in jewelry, where we were shown how silver is worked. The view at Las Mariposas was one of my favorite parts.Many thanks to Mary and Sergio for this great experience.
