Our guide Cervando was amazing. He gave us a great overview of quite a few colonias (neighborhoods) in Puerto Vallarta including Marina Vallarta, 5 de Diciembre, Centro and Zona Romantica. He also gave us a tour of a local market in 5 de Diciembre near where he grew up...including fresh tortillas and salsa. He is very knowledgeable about the city as he is native resident. He is a very safe driver and gives you the option to tailor your tour to your liking, if there are specific sites and areas you would like to see. He also gave us suggestions for various street vendors and restaurants to try while we are here.

We had a great time on this tour. The Sun Buggy is a cute vehicle. It was much easier to view the surroundings than in a tour van or bus. Chistian was an excellent guide and his 2 employees certainly helped. At each stop they would move the cars around so we were ready to head to the next location.We really enjoyed going to the Botanical Garden. We love seeing (what for us are house plants) the tropical plants growing where they should. Seei ng Los Arcos from the road and then up close on a boat was fun. The tequila tasting is always interesting. Lunch was excellent.We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour.

My boyfriend and I had such an amazing experience with Martin! He was incredibly kind, thorough, and made the entire workshop so much fun from start to finish. He explained the chocolate-making process in detail while keeping everything interactive and enjoyable.The workshop ended up being just the two of us, which made the experience feel so intimate and special. Martin even took photos and videos of us throughout the process so we could keep those memories forever, which was such a thoughtful touch!Everything was very clean and sanitary, and the chocolate we made actually turned out SO good! 🍫🤎 This was easily one of the highlights of our trip and the perfect birthday excursion. All good. Bernardo met us on time. We happened to be the only 2. Other times over the years companies have cancelled due small group. Kudos to follow through. Bernardo interacted like family with almost all of the restaurant workers. The food was splendid, a drink of savory fruit drink stop as well as dessert. Not only learned some new sauce options but plenty of History and architecture was a big part of the conversation. Definitely worth your time

This chocolate and truffle workshop was incredible! Rod was entertaining, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout the entire experience. We had so much fun learning how to make our own chocolates, and the truffles and bonbons we created were absolutely delicious. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta!

It's so good and worth every cent!
This is my third tour with Vallarta Food Tours and it gets better each time! The Vallarta by Road tour was fantastic. My cruise ship was finally there on a day they offered it and I jumped at the chance to do it. The places we went were absolutely amazing and delicious. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. I can't wait to be back and take another tour!

Funnest trip & Exceeded our expectations! We got to the location in Puerto Vallarta which is a couple blocks north of the beach & met our tour guide Christian. He let us choose our buggy & then we filled out the required papers until the departure time; the office was very clean & had Air conditioning & Banos. After the others arrived Christian gave us a "Safety Brief " so we would know what when & how to keep the group together. Once we started out, the Fun began; our itinerary was Perfect! It was a full day & once outside of the city, the roads were very twisty which made the drive very entertaining. Our 1st stop was short & overlooked the ocean and then onto the next stop which was a Botanical garden; the Time flew by. The next stop was for a Tasting & tour of a local distillery which was very refreshing. We had lunch next & the food was delicious. Our final stop was a chance to get out on the water for swimming/snorkeling. It was an Amazing Day. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I will tell anyone to YES, go to SunBuggy for your Tour!!

Please know that when you do this during the summer the can they have has little to no aircon. You will be passing by a rough road. We cane from Marina Vallarta and it took about 40-45 minutes to get to the venue. The staff were great and accommodating. Valeria did a very great job in teaching us how to cook salsa molcajete, salsa guacamole, chicken enchiladas and the platano dessert. However, she forgot to give us the recipe of everything. In case, Valeria come across this review please send the recipes to me at [email protected]. It is very important that I get them so I can share with family. Thank you!

Our experience with the tour was exceptional, largely due to our outstanding driver and guide, Cervando. He is highly professional, knowledgeable, and knows Puerto Vallarta like the palm of his hand. What made the tour particularly valuable was the opportunity to experience both the modern, popular tourist areas and the less-touristy, more authentic parts of Puerto Vallarta. The contrast between these areas provided a unique perspective and made the tour much more interesting and memorable. Cervando was accommodating, attentive, considerate, and genuinely friendly throughout the entire experience. His professionalism and local knowledge greatly enhanced the tour.
