If you’re in or passing through Puerto Vallarta and even remotely considering a photo session, just do it. You will not regret it!As our crew has grown, it’s harder to have everyone all in the same place at the same time. Since we had all flown in from different parts of the country to take a cruise together, I figured this was our chance to get photos - and what better backdrops than the beautiful beaches and city center?!Star helped me coordinate our session for the morning our ship was in port. What I did NOT plan for was a time zone mix-up! We were scheduled to be in port at 7 am - but didn’t know that was ship time - Puerto Vallarta was an hour ahead! By the time we got on land and had cell service, we were already an hour late to our session.Star was incredible about it! She communicated right away, helped us pivot immediately, and we headed to the beach to make the most of the time we had left. No stress, no attitude - just someone who clearly loves what she does and wanted us to walk away happy. When we finally arrived, she wasn’t frantic or upset - she helped us all get comfortable and didn’t let the stressful start ruin the fun.And somehow, even with the time mix up, she got EVERYTHING. The full group, just the kids, the couples, parents with each of the children - all of the combinations I had hoped for. She has a natural way of making people feel comfortable right from the start, which matters so much when you’re wrangling a big group.The photos are stunning! Anyone who has taken group photos knows the struggle - someone is always blinking or looking away lol But Star captured so many great shots - genuinely love every single one!Star communicated beautifully before, during, and after the whole process. I only wish we lived closer, because we will absolutely book her again the next time we’re in Puerto Vallarta.JUST DO IT! If you’re on a debating whether to splurge on a professional session while in Puerto Vallarta - do it! You have everyone together, you’re in a beautiful place, and of course the candids from the trip are great, but having photos of your entire crew is truly priceless. Thanks again, Star!!

If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta, book this tour. It was an amazing experience.My husband, teenage son and I went out for a morning private tour with Talia and Captain Angel. Thalia’s connection with the wild dolphins is incredible — she has known them for many years, understands their behavior, and clearly cares deeply about them. The dolphins know her too! Her passion made the experience even more meaningful.Multiple times, we were able to get into the water while the dolphins swam all around us. It was amazing. The boat was very nice - comfortable, plenty of shade and even a bathroom on board. Thalia brought snacks, sandwiches and water for us.It was a beautiful and unforgettable morning on the bay - I HIGHLY recommend this experience. Whether you are in Puerto Vallarta for a week or just visiting on a cruise, this tour is absolutely worth it.

We went on a whale watching tour with Grimar Adventures recently from Punta Mita and it was incredible. Seeing whales is obviously a bit of luck but our guides did an amazing job spotting whales from a distance and getting us closer to them. They were super knowledgeable and answered tons of questions we had. We got super lucky near the end of the tour and spotted a female, male, and baby all together jumping and splashing their fins and tails. It was incredible. A once in a lifetime sight. See the attached pics.I would definitely ride out with Grimar again. Highly recommended.

A delightful day with Ecotours whale watching, snorkling, and visiting Yalapa.
We had a wonderful day with Ecotours Vallarta visiting Colliminas to go snorkling and then to Yalapa to explore the area and have lunch. Yalapa is a private tour so you pay for the guide and the boat captain and the boat can take around 10 people. There was just the two of us in this trip. Mike was our guide and Raphael was the boat captain. We had been with Mike in an earlier trip and he is a fantastic birder and a super nice person. He also know a lot about whales and marine life. We started out from the marina and within 15 minutes we came upon about 6 humpback whales and watched them for awhile. Raphael was careful to keep a respectable distance. They come here in the winter to have there babies and then migrate back to the west coast of United States in the warmer weather. We then snorkeled at Colliminas for half hour. The water was in the 70s and calm and we saw many types of fish. Then on to Yalapa which is nestled in a beautiful bay and very picturesque. We walked up to a beautiful waterfall that did not have a huge amount of water as it was the dry season The town has lots of restaurants along the beach and lots of things to buy in the way up to the waterfall. We then had lunch at The Marlin. My girlfriend had fish tacos and I had shrimp tacos and we shared guacamole. The food was good but not fantastic. Mike pointed out several sea going birds(turns, pelicans ) and we also spotted grackles and a beautiful Trogon. My girlfriend was delighted to hold an iguana for a photo(100 pesos). We took some nice pictures at the waterfall. We left at 9 am and returned about 3:30. It was a wonderful day to do something different as we have been in Puerto Vallarta for a month, Ecotours does a great job and Mike and captain Rapheal could not have been better. Highly recommended.

Highlight of our week!
Thalia is incredibly knowledgeable. We learned a great deal about dolphins and whales. Capt. Angel got us out into the bay where we found the dolphins and got to jump in the water where they were swimming. Amazing! This was the highlight of the trip! The turkey sandwiches on the boat—best Thanksgiving we could ask for. Definitely recommend this tour.
