This review highlight's one amazing staff member sharing this just prior to boarding:When entering or returning to the Puerto Vallarta maritime terminal, passengers pass through security checkpoints featuring metal detectors and bag scanners. Security around the port area is actively supported by the Mexican Navy and you don't want to carry anything inappropriate with you.

Obi picked us up right from our resort and gave us a full 7 hours of pure magic, weaving together the culture and history of Puerto Vallarta in a way that felt personal and alive, not like a rehearsed script.We never once felt rushed. Obi thoughtfully planned out our day so that when it was time to go shopping, it was scheduled for the latter part of the trip, so we didn't have to haul bags around while we were still touring. When it was time to eat, he introduced us to a new restaurant tucked away in a secluded area that felt like a tropical paradise overlooking the river, it was such a special find.What made this tour truly special was Obi himself. From the moment we met him, he made us feel like old friends catching up rather than strangers on a tour. As a fellow entrepreneur, I found our conversations along the way genuinely inspiring, hearing about his journey, his positivity, and his dreams for the future added a whole extra layer to the day that I wasn't expecting but deeply appreciated.You can tell Obi truly loves what he does, and that passion is contagious. By the end of our time together, he had made us believers in Obi Tours, and we can't wait to see this business grow. This was also the tour that made my birthday one I'll never forget.My phone unfortunately decided it would no longer turn on today, so all the pictures I took while on the tour are just on hold until I can get my phone fixed, but Obi took so many pictures along the way that I'm not even worried; I can't wait to see them when they get emailed over.If you're visiting Puerto Vallarta and want more than just a sightseeing trip, if you want a real, meaningful experience with someone who cares, book Obi Tours. We had an excellent experience at Chica Locca Private Beach Club. David was our host and met us right at the Los Muertos pier, taking amazing care of us throughout the entire day. We enjoyed the facilities, the beach, the pool, and all the water activities. The whole staff was incredibly attentive and made our visit feel special. We would absolutely return.

The agency that runs the tour is EXCELLENT, very attentive, the service is very, very good, the food is very delicious, the activities are super good for my children.The only and very bad experience was with Cool Puerto Vallarta as an intermediary, they did not give the correct instructions since the tour says it is for ages 6 to 90 and when we arrived they said that only children 11 years and older can enter the Marietas Islands, they also did not tell me that you have to pay 1,000 more per person to enter the hidden beach.

Our day with Obi Tours was one of the absolute highlights of our week in Puerto Vallarta!We booked the private Sayulita and San Pancho tour for our group of six, and from the moment Obi and Elizabeth picked us up in their clean, comfortable, air-conditioned van, we knew we were in good hands.Throughout the day, they shared so much knowledge about Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and the places we visited. Their passion for what they do really shines through, and they made every stop interesting and enjoyable.One of our favorite surprises was a stop at a roadside fruit stand where they had arranged a tasting of several local fruits. It was such a fun experience that we never would have found on our own.The tequila tasting was another unforgettable part of the day. It was entertaining, informative, and honestly featured the best tequila we’ve ever had! We learned so much and had a great time.In Sayulita, they took us to a wonderful beachfront restaurant before giving us free time to explore the town at our own pace. We also loved visiting beautiful San Pancho.One of the most thoughtful touches was that Elizabeth took photos throughout the entire tour—both candid and posed—and shared them with us afterward at no extra charge. It allowed us to simply enjoy the day while knowing the memories were being captured.What really sets Obi Tours apart is that this didn’t feel like a typical tour. It felt like spending the day with two wonderful people who genuinely love sharing their home and culture with their guests.If we’re fortunate enough to visit Puerto Vallarta again, we’ll absolutely be booking another tour with Obi and Elizabeth. This was a fun tour experience! The tour guides knew their Puerto Vallarta history and shared relevant stories from the the past to current times. There are a lot great and fun things coming to PV and Obi Tours will be a great addition to any vacation plans! They had great energy and attitude. How delightful to be picked up at our hotel on time by Jose (Pepe), a true PV native, who drove us up the mountain to San Sebastian and gave us plenty of history and tips along the way. This is butterfly season - we drove through swarms of butterflies on the way into the Sierra Madre. The tequila/raicilla tasting at Don Lalin was wonderful as was lunch at El Comedor de Lupita in San Sebastian, a local authentic Mexican restaurant - the chicken mole was superb. We enjoyed popping into the local shops and walking around the town. Unfortunately, the plaza is being repaired right now, but it's still a lovely day trip, especially now in the off season since it's much cooler in the mountains and traffic is less crazy!
