Our tour guide (Alphonso) and bus driver (Roman) were amazing! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour from the city's history to the butterflies then on to the Tequila then the beach.

Included very nice hike(optional), moderate difficulty for average person. Trails were slippery but very clearly marked. Garden was extremely beautiful. Guide was amazing, photographer very good. Tequila was very good, a little pricerier than expected for the optional purchase. Lunch was delicious but if not choosing the lunch included menu be aware you will be forced to get food at the same restaurant(pretty pricy as well compared to other restaurants in town) due to remote location.

We did the Taco Tour with Puerto Vallarta Discovery Tours this morning, and it was hands down one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! Our tour guide, Heidy, was absolutely amazing. She shared so much local history and culture, making every stop even more meaningful.The tacos were the best we’ve ever had, and the surprise treats along the way made it even better—homemade popsicles, fresh churros, and, of course, some tequila! Every stop felt authentic and gave us a true taste of Puerto Vallarta.If you’re visiting Puerto Vallarta, this tour is a must-do. It’s the perfect mix of incredible food, local culture, and fun. We would absolutely do it again and can’t recommend Heidy and Puerto Vallarta Discovery Tours enough!

Had a truly awesome experience with Eduardo today. He was kind, flexible, and knowledgeable—and my partner and I were the only ones who booked so we basically had a private tour with him!Quimixto was beautiful. The hike to the waterfall wasn’t super difficult but it was VERY hot and there wasn’t much shade so I struggled on the inclines… Eduardo was really patient with me, though, and he arranged an ATV ride for us on the way back, which was a fun experience in itself. Highly recommend this experience, especially with Eduardo!

Family Boat Tour
We had such a great experience on this boat tour with our whole family, including our 3 and 4 year old and grandparents! The crew was wonderful and made everyone feel comfortable and safe from start to finish. We loved getting to see the islands, swim over to a little beach, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. There was some higher swell during part of the trip, but the guides handled the boat incredibly well and were so attentive helping the kids safely get to and from the beach. It ended up being the perfect first boat experience for our kids and made for such a fun family memory. Highly recommend!

Truly an incredible experience! Eric, our guide, was so knowledgeable and engaging the entire day and made both the drive there and back so enjoyable. He explained everything in both English and Spanish, making sure everyone felt included during the tour. Our stops to the bakery, tequila tasting, coffee tasting, lunch, and around San Sebastián were incredible! The tequila distillery is family owned and there is so much pride in what they do that it comes out in their amazing tequila products (the hibiscus was our favourite). Panaderia Carmen’s Bakery was delicious and a great spot to stop and have a quick stretch and snack before continuing on. The spot we stopped for lunch was so delicious, and they were fantastic about our allergies. We would absolutely do this tour again on our next visit to PV. The sales people at the fire opal stop were VERY pushy, so that would be my only critique of this incredible tour. It was great to learn about, but even just looking at their products was overbearing.

Our group of 8 had the pleasure of having Eric as our tour guide for our taco tour in Puerto Vallarta and nearby areas. Eric readily shared his extensive knowledge of Mexican food, culture and history while we enjoyed the various types of tacos, including Birria, seafood, Barbacoa and carnitas (my favorite). He has a great personality with a sense of humor and was very accommodating with our group that included some seniors that needed extra assistance. His van was comfortable and well maintained. We hope to take another Discovery tour next week and will definitely ask for Eric.

Highly recommend this tour to San Sebastián
Our tour to San Sebastián was excellent. Our driver and guide Erik was great and full of knowledge. We made a few stops along the way to a bakery, tequila tasting, silver shop and coffee shop before we explored the town of San Sebastián. You don’t have to feel obligated to purchase anything but some people do. We had a provided lunch at a cafe and the food was fantastic and the people were so friendly. The town and church were nice to see. After we had 1/2 hour of free time to explore. Some roads in the town are being dug up and redone but that didn’t bother us. We managed to walk around but be aware it’s a very old town and you have to be careful walking around. Old cobblestone streets and some are hilly so someone with mobility issues may find it tough. Some of the roads going to San Sebastián are hilly and lots of curves. The tour is well worth the cost you get a full day trip, enjoy baked goods and the most delicious hot chocolate. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour.

Tour is Fabulous.covers all the things Mexico has to offer chocolate jewelry leather goods Malecon then thru city of PV old PV coffee roaster then out to the tequila distillery Tequilera Don Chandon for tasting and amazingly delicious and bountiful food It’s in Jorge home village quaint and rustic. This is one of the best tours we have been on! Our tour guide “Danny” was amazing! He was informative, yet fun and kept the tour going at a good pace. He was receptive to our needs and formed the tour around our wishes! We saw 6 different seaside towns and heard the history and interesting details about each one. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the real traditional Mexico, you won’t regret a minute. Great English speaking and good communication :) We had a fun lunch stop in Sayulita. Bathrooms stops available whenever you need.

A wonderful private tour
Had a great time with our host Dbay (AKA Danny Boy), our own private driver and guide. All the stops were fun, we learned some stuff, saw some amazing beaches, some off the tourist grid coves and beaches, had a very nice lunch and walked some markets and towns. Up the coast from Puerto Vallarta, north of Bucerias is very nice, less touristy, superb beaches, and very authentic. Also reasonably priced considering he paid the toll road.
